Detection mode:

Stud Mode:

In pin mode, there are 3 scanning modes to choose the appropriate scanning surface thickness:
*The 1/2" scanning mode can detect 1/2 in. (13 mm) deep.
*The 1" scanning mode can detect 1 in. (25 mm) deep.
*The 1 1/2" scanning mode can detect 1 1/2 in. (38 mm) deep.
If you don't know the detection depth, it is recommended to use the 1/2" scanning mode first. If the 1/2" scanning mode fails to detect, use the 1" or 1 1/2" scanning mode.

Metal Mode:

Magnetic metal detection can be performed at depths of up to 80 mm (3.2 in) (15 mm diameter galvanized steel pipe).
Non-magnetic metals can be detected at depths of up to 60 mm (2.4 in) (13 mm diameter copper pipe).

AC Mode:

Detect unshielded live AC wires up to 51 mm deep.
